The China Training Institute of BSR held a seminar of what a good canteen looks like in the afternoon of August 13 and received great feedbacks. BSR has worked with members to run a pilot on canteen improvement since 2009 and got some positive progress during the project. In addition, we also observe that poor canteen management is one of the key root causes for worker turnover. To this end, BSR introduced a new mindset and methodology during the salon to share with suppliers on how to improve canteen.
BSR invited a factory representative to share the successful experience in canteen improvement. He shared the experience on how to engage worker in the improvement process and how to identify opportunities for improvement.
