The corporate seminar Creating a Healthy, Safe, Green Supply Chain, held by BSR and Golder on June 14th, 2011 in Shenzhen was a complete success. Over 50 brands and suppliers including Microsoft, Disney, Starbucks, JC Penney, Kiabi, and Coach attended this seminar. Dr. HU Jianhui, Deputy Chief Physician, diagnosis of occupational pneumoconiosis of Shenzhen Prevention and Treatment Center for Occupational Diseases, William Zhu, IH Service Manager of Golder and Mr. FENG from Honeywell respectively delivered speeches on the topics of occupational disease prevention and legislative trends, how to avoid supply chain occupational health risks and how to establish and improve a health and safety management system. Following the seminar, BSR will work with three factories in different industries in the PRD on occupational health and safety with practical toolkits and solutions for further guidance.
