Background

Interpersonal communication is an important part of almost any jobs. It is also a process that people need to go through for acquiring social recognition and realizing self-satisfaction. When dealing with other people, one may find that conflicts between people on character, idea, value, among others, occur from time to time.
 
In fact, it is impossible to avoid interpersonal conflict in a corporate environment, where people work in teams. To managers, how to avoid and deal with interpersonal conflict is a huge challenge, particularly at the present timing when the government is promoting the implementation of the new Labor Law. As for companies, managers' conflict management skill may constitute a major factor affecting the growth of companies.     Professor, School of Business Administration, South China University of Technology. Acquired doctoral degree at School of Business, Sun Yat-Sen University. More than ten years of experience in business administration. A master on dealing with interpersonal relationship in corporate environment. 

  • Wei Dong, Zhou

    China Director, Business for Social Responsibility, who is in charge of the presence and activities of BSR in China and consultation services on CSR for BSR member companies and their suppliers in China.  Mr. Zhou is also the director of China Training Institute (CTI) of BSR, which aims to provide a series of training to managers of export-oriented factories on corporate social responsibility, labor standard, safety and health, and human resource manager, among others.
